Hershel Southern

Hershel Southern, 90, of Tiline, KY passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Southgate Nursing Home in Metropolis, IL.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Patricia Vick Southern; one daughter, Charlotte (Tommy) Barnett of Ledbetter; one son, Charles Lynn (Dawn) Southern of Tiline; one granddaughter, Kayla (Derek) Curnel; one grandson, Klay (Emily Chandler) Southern; and three great grandchildren, Bryan, Brylee & Bryza Jayne Curnel of Tiline.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bid & Edna Mae Southern.

Graveside services will be held at a later date.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Lourdes Hospice & SouthGate Nursing Home for the care they gave Mr. Southern.
