Doris McDonald

Doris J. McDonald, 71 of Smithland passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Western Baptist Hospital.

Mrs. McDonald was devoted to her family. She was a loving granny, and enjoyed gardening and raking hay. She also had a great love of animals. She was a member of Tiline First Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband,Roger McDonald; her daughter, Benita L. Jones of Smithland; one brother, Hubert (Charlotte) Edmonds of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Thelma (Clinton) Smith of Smithland; three grandchildren, Jordan (Clark) O’Brien of Tiline, Chase Lant of Smithland, and Carsyn Jones of Smithland; one greatgrandchild, Cinch O’Brien of Tiline; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom Edmonds and Cooter Edmonds. Her parents were Gene and Rebith Edmonds.

Services will be 2:00pm Thursday at Smith Funeral Chapel, with Bro. Encil Edmonds officiating. Burial will follow at Leeper Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, and Thursday from 11:00am until the funeral hour, at the funeral home.
