Frances Elizabeth (Lasher) Walker, 92, passed away at 1:00am on Monday May 12, 2014 at her residence.
Mrs. Walker taught school at the one room Iuka School for several years.
She was a housewife, mother, and member of Iuka Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Melinda (James Earl) Driskill of Grand Rivers, Joanne (Fred) Sullivan of Calvert City, Alisa (Mark) Marshall of Calvert City; five grandchildren, LeeAnn (Brian) Adams of Grand Rivers, Philip (Robbie) Driskill of San Antonio, TX, William Lee (Deanna) Sullivan of Lexington, KY, Dereck Walker Sullivan of Calvert City, Shelby Elizabeth Marshall of Calvert City; two great-grandchildren, Hailey and Chaney Adams of Grand Rivers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee E. Walker; one brother, E.C. Lasher; and her parents, Leslie and Mamie Lasher who were of Hampton; one granddaughter, Holly Sullivan.
She loved her Lord, her church, her family, her friends, and her birds and flowers.
Visitation will be on Wednesday May 14, 2014 from 11:00am 2:00pm at Iuka Baptist Church. Funeral will be at 2:00pm with the Bro. Tommy Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Iuka Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Iuka Cemetery Fund in care of Melinda Driskill at 736 Jake Dukes Rd. Grand Rivers, KY 42045 or Lourdes Hospice Foundation Fund at P.O. Box Fund 7100 Paducah, KY 42002.
