John Fiers

John Elmer Fiers, 86 of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Smithland, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012.
Mr. Fiers was a retired mechanic.
Surviving are three sons, John E. Fiers, Jr., Norman Glenn Fiers, and Stephen R. Farrer; two daughters, Betsy Pfeiffer and Mary Jane Till; four brothers, Orville, Ernest, Don and Norman Fiers; one sister, Lucille Holley; fourteen grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Flanighan Fiers; his mother, Mintie Ann Fiers King; one son, Sid Fiers; three brothers, and two sisters.
Services will be 1:00pm Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Smith Funeral Chapel in Smithland.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00am until the funeral hour, at the funeral home.
