Biography



Kent Devon Sauvage, 72, of Smithland died Sunday, August 9th at his home.

Mr. Sauvage was a member of Southern Baptist Missionary Association for 50 years and a member of Woodmen of the World for 51 years.

Survivors include his wife, Vada Sauvage; one daughter, Melissa Sauvage Sexton of Eddyville; three stepchildren, Pam Nystrom of Lexington, Steve Hopkins of Danville and Mike Hopkins of Nicolasville; two brothers, Lynn Sauvage of Tiline and L.D. Sauvage Jr. of Calvert City; four sisters, Vivian Vaughn of Reidland, Louella Coffer of Marion, Mary Z. Thompson of Smithland and Gloria Slayden of South Carolina; and two grandchildren.

His parents were Lorenzo Sauvage and Zetta Mae Driskill Sauvage.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Iuka Baptist Church with the Revs. David Brasher and Mark Gill officiating. Burial will be at Iuka Cemetery.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. on August 10th at Smith Funeral Chapel.
