Lucille Driskill

Lucille Martin Driskill, age 85 of Smithland went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 from her residence.
Lucille was a long time member of the Smithland First Baptist Church. She had worked as a Teacher’s Aide at the Ledbetter Elementary School, and had served on the Livingston County Board of Education. Lucille had also been a member of the Paducah Bridge Club, where she held the distinctive honor of being a Gold Master. An avid Kentucky Wildcat fan, Lucille also enjoyed crappie fishing with her husband, W.B.
Lucille is survived by her daughter, Kim Lampley and her husband Darrell, of Smithland; along with four grandchildren, Hailee Lampley, Nick Lampley, Cassie Morrow and her husband Daniel of Paducah, and Brandon Driver and his wife Dori of Louisville, KY. Also surviving are five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.B. Driskill; one daughter, Sandy Puryear; two brothers, Jerry Martin and Royce Martin; and one sister, Katherine Stinnett. Her parents were James N. and Grace Chiles Martin.
A Celebration of Lucille’s Life will take place at 1:00pm Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Smith Funeral Chapel in Smithland, with the Rev. Brian Arnold and the Rev. Wayne Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Smithland Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00am until 1:00pm Saturday at Smith Funeral Chapel.
