Marilyn J. Chandler, 60 of Smithland passed away at 9:10 pm Friday, April 29, 2011 at her residence.

Mrs. Chandler was a Kentucky Colonel, a retired Deputy P.V.A. with Livingston County, a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and a devoted grandmother.

Surviving are her husband, Benny Chandler; two daughters, Christy Campbell and Roxane Bridges, both of Smithland; one stepdaughter, Holly Hamilton of Mayfield; two srepsons, Rodney Chandler of Sacramento, KY and Wade Chandler of Smithland; three sisters, Maxie Barrett of Calvert City, Ida Mae Jerrell of Kevil, and Joanne Stevens of Hardin; three grandchildren, Keaton Bridges, Kallie Bridges, and Kalynn Campbell; and three step grandchildren, Abigail Hamilton, Baylyne Chandler and Blake Shadoan; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Marguerite Jessup; her first husband, Ronnie Long; and two brothers, Howard Dean Jessup and J.C. Jessup.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday at Paradise Cemetery in Grand Rivers, with a brief visitation beginning at 12:30 pm at the cemetery. Bro. Rex Jones will officiate.

Smith Funeral Chapel of Smithland is in charge of arrangements.
