R. H. Johnnie Smith

R.H. Johnnie Smith, 87, of Smithland died at 3:01 a.m. Saturday at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
Mr. Smith was the Tiline postmaster for 42 years, a World War II Army veteran, past vice president of the Bank of Livingston County, and a 67-year Mason of the Smithland Lodge 138.
He is survived by one daughter, Pam Simmons of Smithland; one sister, Isabelle Thompson of Louisville; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Varnell Crawford Smith, and one brother. His parents were Raleigh Smith Sr. and Iva Clarke Smith.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Andrew Sexton and Rodney Cude officiating. Burial will follow at Tiline Cemetery.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Monday with Masonic rites at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
