Stephen L. Smith age 55 of Iuka, Ky. Passed away at 1:45 A.M. Tuesday April 26, 2011 at his home with his wife Jill Smith at his side.
Stephen was a Lifetime member of the N.R.A. and belonged to The International Union of Operating Engineers for 30+ years and was an employee for the Smith Construction Company for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Jill Smith of 35 years; one daughter, Katie Morgan Smith of Iuka; two sisters, Bonita Mallory of Eddyville, and Maria Smith of Smithland; three nieces; five nephews and three great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Barbara Smith.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Smith Funeral Chapel with Bro. Mark Gill officiating. Burial will follow at Iuka Cemetery.
Visitation will be held after 5:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
