Thomas Guess Jr

Thomas Freeman “Gin” Guess Jr., 74, passed away January 12, 2016 at home in Tiline, KY surrounded by the family he loved.

Thomas attended Tiline First Baptist Church as a child and graduated from Livingston Central High School in 1960. He enjoyed playing cards, coon hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He loved talking to his many friends and was a long time resident of Tiline. For many years he worked as a heavy equipment operator.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lola; one daughter Regina and her husband Terry “T” Croft of Marion, KY; one granddaughter Kiley Croft; a sister Dorothy Morphew of Clarksville, TN; a brother Thomas Guess of Tiline, KY, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Freeman and Mildred Cruce Guess; three brothers Gilbert Guess, Richard Guess, and Dale Guess; three sisters Arlene Guess, Ruth Redmond, and Donna Whetstone.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Chapel in Smithland.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Brad Henson officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the funeral service. Burial will follow in Tiline Cemetery.
