Burna

Walter Richard Skinner, 70, of Burna passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Stone Creek Nursing Home in Paducah. 

Walter was a retired truck driver.  He enjoyed watching Westerns and spending time with his little dog, Gracie. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving are his three children, Walter Matthew Skinner of CA, Christopher Dayron Skinner of Mayfield, Starla Calleboas of NV; two stepchildren, Leah Tramble of Burna and Steve Ramage of Smithland; three siblings, Wallace Skinner of AL, Eva Everle of Burna, Lisa Edwards of FL; eleven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Skinner; and his parents, Dewery Richard Skinner and Jincy Gutrie Heflin; one daughter, Crystal Skinner; and one brother, Troy Skinner.  

Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Smith Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Iuka Cemetery. 

Friends may visit the family from 10:00am to service hour on Friday at the funeral home.
