Obituary

Wavel Ray McDonald, 65, of Tiline passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at his residence.

He was a retired carpenter out of the carpenters union hall and a member of Grove’s Chapel Church. He enjoyed rabbit hunting, shooting gun, and fishing with his grandkids.

Surviving is his wife, Lynn McDonald; five children, Hope Sills, Jessie Maxfield, Curtis Malston, Cozette Gorden, Melissa Payton; four siblings, Roy McDonald, Paul Skirvin, Roger McDonald, and Velma Yarbrough; one half-brother, Ronnie Owens; several grandchildren; and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wavel and Wilma McDonald; one brother, Russell McDonald; and one sister, Rhonda Bufford.

Graveside services will be at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Groves Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Benny Chandler officiating. Burial will follow. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
