William Rudell Bonds
Obituary
William R. Bonds, age 78, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022, at Crittenden County Hospital in Marion, KY.
Mr. Bonds was born on July 30th, 1943, to Rudell and Pearl (Hall) Bonds. He was of the Protestant faith and a long-time active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Paducah, KY.
A hard working and determined man, William along with his wife Joyce, set up and managed a number of businesses, including an ambulance service in Livingston County, a cleaning service for residential and commercial buildings, owners of rental homes, plus other enterprises too numerous to mention.
William is survived by his daughter, Sandy Bonds of Smithland; two grandsons, Jonathan Bonds (Skylair) of Smithland, and Jordan Bonds (Chelsea) of Grand Rivers, KY; one great grandson, Bryson Samuel Lee Bonds of Grand Rivers; and two great granddaughters, Journey and Karlee Bonds of Smithland.
William is preceded in death by his parents, Rudell and Pearl (Hall) Bonds; his sister, Clara Lee Agent of Smithland; his brother, Marvin DeWayne Bonds of Smithland; his infant daughter, Brenda Sue Bonds of Smithland; two sons, Joey Bonds and DeWayne Bonds of Smithland; and the love of his life, his wife of 61 years, Joyce Ellen (Jones) Bonds.
William will be cremated, and a family planned memorial service is planned/scheduled for Monday, May 30th, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church in Paducah, KY; both William and Joyce spent many active years worshiping the Lord and gaining spiritual guidance. Visitation will be held from 2 PM – 4 PM. The family has invited all of their friends and kin to bring a covered dish and join them in a celebration of the lives of both William and Joyce. Anyone wishing to share a short story, funny experience, or special memories of them are welcome to read them during the memorial.
